| A very old and important city for China, the trading center for tropical delicacies like lichee fruit and pearls from Hainan Island. Also the staging point for military forays into Vietnam, starting over 2000 years ago when the Han general Ma Yuan invaded Veitnam. Today it is the capital of Guangxi Province, a lovely city on the shore of the Yongjiang, Yong River. |
