| The Louguantai, or Observation Platform, is one of the most sacred Daoist sites in China, where 尹喜 Yinxi waited and watched the purple aura fill the heavens as 老子 Laozi came by riding on his ox. Laozi transmitted the Daode Jing to Yinxi and then continued on his way to the Western Regions. The Louguantai is located on the northern edge of the Zhongnanshan sixty km sw of Xian. |
