Notes:
There is no Purple Glory Temple extant on Huangshan today. But the site is there, including the well covered by a small shack with the inscription 佛眼泉 Foyanquan or Buddha's Eye Spring painted on a piece of peeling plywood, and a large hall labeled 慈光閤 Ciguangge, Purple Glory Pavillion, a few old foundation stones and a few stone carvings. the location is not on the peak as the poem suggests, but possibly in the Ming Dynasty when De Pu was here the temple was in a different location? Inside the hall is large bigger than life picture of Deng Xiaoping, dressed in shorts proudly leaning on a hiking stick.
