Zhang Hu 782-852 My carrige cannot get stuck Your horse must not stumble I always resent these crossroads, Making love here and there. Lovers go ten thousand miles, Old friends come ten thousand miles. These scissors in my lustful dreams, Can find no way to cut my tears. I'd scale mountains          no matter how high, Ford oceans         no matter how deep In broken pavillion         I'd spread my fruit Show my lover         my loyal heart.

Sū Xiǎoxiǎo Sānshǒu

Qíyī Chēlún bù kě zhē, Mǎ zú bù kě bàn. Cháng yuàn shízìjiē, Shǐ láng xīn sìsàn. Qíèr Xīnrén qiānlǐ qù, Gùrén qiānlǐ lai. Jiǎndāo huāng mián dǐ, Fāng jué lèi nán cái. Qísān Dēngshān bù chóu jùn, Shè hǎi bù chóu shēn. Zhōng bò tīng qiān zǎo, Jiāo láng jiàn chìxīn.

Notes: Su Xiaoxiao was the most beautiful courtesan and street walker in Hangzhou in the Southern Qi Dynasty 479 - 502 in the period known as the Six Dynasties. She was a poet herself and made love under the willow trees by Xilin Bridge. It is said that she died at the age of 19 in the full beauty of her youth. It is right that her memorial tomb is by this same bridge. Many poems have been written about her beauty and she is still remembered to day, 1,500 years later, as the most beautiful woman who ever walked the paths by West Lake.. 古樂府《蘇小小歌》："我乘油壁車，郎乘青驄馬。何處結同心？西陵松柏下。”
