Snow-white dew 
         born on Jade steps,
Penetrates 
        silk-gauze stockings.
Unsated
        she lowers gossamer screen,
Carved in jade
         She explores 
                  the autumn moon.

Yùjiē shēng bái lù,
Yè jiǔ qīn luó wà.
Yù xià shuǐ jīng lián,
Línglóng wàng Qiu yuè.

Notes:
The photo is of the balustrade of the 大明宮 Dàmínggōng, Great Bright Palace, first built by the first Tang emperor 太宗 Tàizōng in 634 as a separate palace for his wife. In 663, the second Tang emperor 高宗 Gao Zong made it his main palace.
