Visiting Lingyinsi
|
Su Shi 1036-1101
I love West Lake's Hidden Spirit Temple,
My hermit's cloak dangles
on half opened door.
Idle on rush hassock
spend whole day in happy discourse,
On the flower path
people come and go.
Green grass extends
to the distant bridle path,
The sound of surf
coils around the sutra platform.
My good fortune
to tarry here awhile
in this Buddha land,
Letting go
beneath the mulberry trees
forgetting ravages of war.
