One of two bridges connecting the island mountain of Gushan, in Hangzhou's West lake, to the mainland. Duanqiao, Broken Bridge, is very famous for the story of White Snake and the monk Fahai. It is part of the Baidi, Bai Dyke built by the Tang poet Bai Juyi, and named after him.

This image of Broken Bridge was taken during National Day Week, May, 2006 when the crowd of visitors threatened to break it again!!
