Yangshou's oldest temple was here on Green Lotus Peak beside the river. The temple ceased to exist in the early 20th century and it became a tower of the same name. The Jianshansi has now been rebuilt in a new location in Yangshuo. This photo is of a statue of the famous Tang monk 鑒真 Jian Zhen who is said to have preached here. A hall here is dedicated to his memory.
