This temple's real name is Chieu Thien 昭禪寺, however it is located in Lang village so is known as Chua Lang. It is said to have been built in the reign of Ly Anh Tong (1138-1175).
Here is worshipped Tu Dao Hanh (?-1117), a famous monk of the Ly dynasty, who belonged to the Vinitaruci Chan sect. According to legend, this monk was reincarnated as the son of a nobleman Sung Hien Hau. Since King Ly Nhan Tong (1070-1128) was childless, Sung Hien Hau's son became the successor to the throne with the name Ly Than Tong (1128-1138).
