Small boat on Xihu, Hangzhou
Aboard a Boat on a Moonlit Night
|
Dai Fugu 1167-1248
Moonlight fills the boat and floods an empty sky
Night air pours across the green and glassy water
Ideas for a poem away in the shadows of the mast
My dream spirit rows to the sound of the scull
Stars are scattered on the jade-colored lake
Wild geese cry out in the water-pepper wind
A few fishing lanterns mark the ancient shore
Dew drips from paulownias on Broken Arch Bridge
