        Song Zhiwen 656-712

In fall wild geese fly south,
Then start back from here
        it is said.
But my exile has just begun,
When will I again return?
The river is still
        Boyang Lake's starting to drain,
the forest's dark with miasmic mist.
For me
        tomorrow morning
                one last glance toward home,
Those lucky geese
will soon see Gansu plum blossoms!

Yángyuè nán fēi yàn,
Chuánwén zhìcǐ huí.
Wǒ xíng shūwèi yǐ,
Hérì fù guīlái.
Jiāng jìng cháo chū luò,
Lín hūn zzhàng bù kāi.
Míng cháo wàng xiāng chù,
Yīng jiàn Lǒng tóu méi.
