Monk Sole Sandgate (Tang)  Venerable mountain overlooks west ocean, Within this scene impossible to describe. By chance bump into snow haired old codger, All my life on the road                 and still can't see enough!

Yàndàngshān

Sìhǎi míngshān céng yùmù, Jiúzhōng cǐ jǐng nán túlù. Shān qián zhuàngjiàn báitóuwēng, Zì dào yīshēng kàn bùzú.

Notes: 沙门 Shamen, is a Buddhist term for ascetic or monk. So it seems this monk's name is 'Just An Old Hermit'. 沙门惟一:唐朝和尚。 一生寻找美丽山水, 到了雁荡山,为之倾到, 因为遇到一位负薪而过的老人笑说:‘我一生 看山不,意不自足,师果何所见而叹耶?’所以 做了这首诗。
