Tea Drinkers
        Gary Snyder  1930-

There are those who love to get dirty
        and fix things.
They drink coffee at dawn,
        beer after work.

And those who stay clean,
        just appreciate things,
At breakfast they have milk
        and juice at night.

There are those that do both,
        They drink tea.

Chátú
Yǒu xié rén xǐhuan nòngzāng
hái xǐhuan xiūbǔ dōngxi.
Tāmen pòxiǎo shí hè kāfēi,
Gōngzuò wán hè píjiǔ,

Yòu yǒu xiē rén xǐhuan bǎochí gānjìng,
zhǐ xīnshǎng shìwù,
Zǎocān tāmen hè niúnǎi
wǎncān hè guǒzi.

Yǒu xiē rén liǎnglèi shì dōu zuò,
tāmen hè chá.
