師曠 Shī Kuàng is a legendary blind musician from the Spring and Autumn period (770-481 BC) . One day he blew his flute on a small knoll on the south edge of what is now Kaifeng, and that spot was made famous. It is called the 禹王臺 Yuwangtai or 古吹臺 Guchuitai, Old Music Terrace.

Although legend says he blew a flute, all the images of him show him plucking a qin!
