Tomb of Kumarajiva, Jiumoluoshi 343-413, the great monk translator, whose father was a monk from Kashmir and his mother a princess of Kucha, the very Buddhist oasis state on the northern edge of the Taklamakan Desert in Xinjiang. He died in Xian and his tomb is at the 草堂寺 Caotangsi south of Xian.
