Small village dedicated to production of Ryukyuan pottery until the 1980s. Now part of Naha city. Ceramic production has now dispersed, mainly to Yomitan. Tsuboya today has a number of retail shops selling Ryukyuan ceramics, and one very pleasant coffee shop on the site of the old communal kiln.
