Located on 石經山 Shijingshan, 75km sw of Beijing City. This temple is famous of the 14,278 stone slabs carved with the almost complete Buddhist Tripitaka scriptures. These carvings were done over a period of 1,000 years. They are stored under the pagoda and in caves on Shijingshan.
