Perhaps this is the same temple as the one 慧可 Huike, the Second Chan Patriarch entered monastic life. His temple was named 龍門寺 Longmensi, Dragon Gate Temple and was located on Xiangshan.

The Tang poet official Bai Juyi spent many days in retirement here. Nearby is his tomb in the Bai Park, where many of his poems are displayed on wooden panels along the paths.
