位于乳源瑶族自治县北6公里处,背倚云门山,是佛教禅宗五大支流之一的云门宗发祥地。创始人文偃禅师. 五代后唐同光元年 (923) 在此建寺,创立宗派, 取云门山为宗派名,寺也称云门寺。寺内保存有南汉大宝元年(958)的 〈大汉韶州云门山光泰禅院匡真大师实性碑〉 和大宝七年 〈大汉韶州云门山大觉禅寺大慈云匡弘明大师碑记〉 两块石碑。寺后有桂花潭、七仙岩等古迹。 Built by 雲門 Yunmen, the founder of the Yunmen branch of Chan Buddhism, at the foot of Yunmenshan in outskirts of Shaoguan, northern Guangdong Province. Until the Cultrual Revolution the mumified body of Yunmen was worshiped here. It disappeared during the havoc of that period.
