A Parting Token For Zeng Lian Of His Leaving For Xiangyang
        Du Fu 712-770

When the war horses gallop away together,
Behind my wooden door
        this old sick body.
Glancing over the verses I hold in my hand,
Thinking of this parting
        my spirit is shaken.
The wide expanses of the Omei evening,
The high peak in the Xianshou spring.
Among the venerable cronies gathered there,
I try to find someone surnamed Pang!

Zèngbié Zhèng Liàn Fù Xiāngyáng
Dù Fǔ 712-770

Róngmǎ jiāo chí jì,
Cháimén lǎo bìng shēn.
Bǎ jūn shī guòmù,
Niàn cǐ bié jīng shēn.
Dì kuò Éméi wǎn,
Shān gāo Xiànshōu chūn.
Wèi yu qí jiù nèi,
Shì mì xìng Páng rén.

Notes:
Pang: A native of Xiangyang invited by the Han emperor to be minister. Instead, he came to Omei and then climbed 鹿門山 Deer Gate Mountain to gather herbs.
