Night Mooring At Ox Island

Li Bo 699-762 Ox Island West River night, Not one cloud in black sky. I climb topside          watch the Autumn moon, Ponder the fate of General Xie. I also can chant songs, But he can't hear anymore. Tomorrow morning I'll set sail, Maple leaves float down          one by one.

Yè Bó Niúzhǔ Huáigǔ

Lǐ Bó 699-762 Niúzhǔ Xījiāng yè, Qīngtiān wú piàn yún. Dēngzhōu wàng qiūyuè, Kōng yì Xiè jiāngjun. Yú yì néng gāoyǒng, Sīrén bùkě wén. Míngzhāo guà fān xí, Fēngyè luò fēnfēn.

Notes: 牛渚 or 牛渚磯 is another name for 采石磯 Caishiji, Red Rock Islet on the sounth bank of the Changjiang in Maanshan, Anhui Province. Li Bai spent much time here and drowned just off this rocky promentory whild trying to catch the moon.
