Phantom Mists

Qiu Chuji 1148-1227 Phantom mists accumulate          clasp emerald-green                  mountain city, Peaks stretch higher...higher          clustered layers                 a land-sea scape. Wrought by divine force         propped now                 on eastern sea, Clouds stretch contentedly         coral red                 turning sun                          dusky-dim.

Fú Yān

Qiū Chùjī 1148-1227 Fú yān jī cuì rào shān chéng, Diézhàng céng luán cù huàpíng. Zàowù jiàn biāo dōng zhěn hǎi, Yún shū xiá juǎn rí míngmíng.

Notes: When mist socks in we wish for a clear shot, when the skies are brilliant we wish for mist. This trip to Laoshan was pristine clear so misty images of Laoshan must wait until another visit.
