Rear Meditation Hall of Broken Mountain Temple

Chang Jian fl.727 At break of dawn I enter old temple, Morning sun flames tall treetops. Serpentine trail leads to secluded retreat, Meditation hall hidden deep in the woods. Birds flutter happily in radiant alpine air, My empty mind reflects in deep pool. Ten thousand sounds silenced, By fading toll of temple bell.

Cháng Jiàn fl. 727 Qīngchén rù gǔ sì, Chūrì zhào gāo lín. Qūjìngtōngyōu chù, Chánfáng huāmù shēn. Shān guāng yuè niǎo xìng, Táyǐng kōng rén xīn. Wànlài cǐ jù jì, Wéi yú zōng qìng yīn.
