Du Fu 712-770 On foot visit temple, Stay overnight nearby. From dim ravine comes         sound of ancient flute, Moon grove scatters clear shadows. Imperial Capital closes in, Cold mist drenches cloak. I yearn to hear morning bell, To help me grasp deep truth.

Dù Fù 712-770 Yǐ tú zhāotí yóu, Gèng sù zhāotí jìng. Yīn hè shēng xū lài, Yuè lín sàn qīng yǐng. Tiānquè xiàng wěi bī, Yún wò yīshang lěng. Yù jué wén chén zhōng, Lìngrén fā shēnxǐng.
