Su Shi Long rapids plunge down  leaping surf surges Skimming skiff shoots south like tossed shuttle Boatman crys out, geese and wild ducks scatter Sqeezed between sharp rocks squeeze thread narrow passage Like a hare fleeing diving hawks and falcons A stallion racing down a hundred meter slope A guitar string snapping loose         an arrow flying from a bow A crack of lightening hitting a gap         a pearl rolling on a lotus leaf Four hills dizzily tumble, wind pummels my ears See only the froth born of a thousand whirlpools. In the midst of danger the flush of excitement         Over quickly Like the river god riding boastful on his autumn flood. My life mounted on change, night and day flying away Sit and think,         Maybe flee to Silla?!                This Wrangling, contending, competing                          a drunken nightmare Preposterous to think!          Thistles and brambles cover copper camels!?!
