Cold Firepit
        Hanshan Deqing  1564-1623

The fire pit is cold the stone bed like ice
the clay censor died before the end of the night
the world of sound is silent my mind completely still
and now it seems my body exists inside a mirror

Dìlú wú huǒ shí chuáng hán
Wǎ dǐng xiāng xiāo zuòyè cán
Wàn yù shēng chénxīn gèng jì
Què yí shēn zài jìngzhōng kàn
