Returning at Dusk to Deergate Temple
|
Meng Haoran 688-740
Sound of temple bell, scent of evening,
Fishermen haggle noisely on the dock.
Marking my return to Deer Gate by boat
Tread sandy path to riverside village,
Moon over Deer Gate riddles misty trees,
Suddenly arrive at Pang's hermitage.
By woodcutter's path,
not so far,
but a remote spot,
Where only hermits watch dusk come and go.

Lùmén yuè zhào kāi yān shù,
Hū dào páng gōng lóu yǐn chu.
Qiāo jīng fēiyáo cháng jìliáo,
