Song of Boredom
*****Yang Wanli

Mighty winds whip the heavens,
        Waves dash... soar,
Just laugh it off, no need to worry!
Perhaps in two days,
        Three at most,
Wind force spent, calm will return.

Mēn Gēxíng
Fēnglì xiān tiān làng dǎ tóu,
Zhǐ xū yī xiào bù xū chóu.
Jìn kàn liǎng rì yuǎn sān rì,
Qì lì qióng shí huì zì xiū.

Notes:
This poem was written when Yang Wanli's boat was held up at an island in Lake Boyang 鄱阳湖, we think Xieshan 鞋山 (Also named Da Gushan 大孤山) due to strong winds and waves.
