Questions While Reading 'Great Wisdom Record'
|
Tran Thanh Tong, Tran Hoang 1240-1290
Thirty years
splitting tiles, drilling turtle shells,
Often during Zen practise.
One day I thought I penetrated
the mother's original face,
But find the nose is only half the face.
Before the eyes no color
by the ears no sound,
It's only the heart thinks this is so.
Sound and color
are not beyond the lips and tongue,
Now just happy to report the capital is safe.
