Yellow River crossing, just south of Baotou, Inner Mongolia
Autumn Vista
|
Li Mengyang 1475-1531
Yellow River coils around
Han Dynasty wall,
Over the river
in the autumn wind
wild geese retreat.
Nomad soldiers cross the trenches
pusue on wild horse,
The general pulls an arrow from his scabard
shoots the Heavenly Wolf.
By the old river crossing
flying chariots
lost in yellow dust,
A white moon
hangs crooked
over a cold battle field.
It is said in Shuofang
are many brave wise men,
But now
who is our Guo Fenyang?
