Dongting Lake viewed from Yueyanglou
Dongting Lake Autumn Moon
|
Zheng Banqiao 1673-1765
Who can hold Dongting fall?
From the top of Yellow Crane Tower,
Dense groves of pagoda tree blossoms
and fading laurel blooms.
Then, I was seeing off the setting sun
behind the western hills,
Above, a crooked moon
like a curtain hook.
Boundless indistinct
the great river flowed,
Mist cleared clouds gathered,
Thousands of silver threads
floating up to heaven.
No need to go buy drinks on a pleasure boat,
I'll just let my spirit roam my memories.

Shuí mǎi Dòngtíng qiū?
Huánghelóu tōu
Huái huā bàn lǎo guìhuā chóu.
Cái sòng xiéyáng xī lǐng qù,
Yuè shàng liándiào.
Mángmáng dà huāng liú,
Yān jìng yún shōu,
Wàn tiáo yín jiē tiān fú.
Bùyòng huà chuán gūjiǔ qù,
Wǒ zì shényóu.
