River running from its source in Kunming Lake by the Summer Palace and downtown Beijing. The rive originally connected to the moat surrounding the Forbidden City, but today it dies before it gets there This photo was taken by the Wanshousi at the halfway mark between the city and the Summer Palace. It is still possible to take an excursion boat on this river from Beijing to the Summer Palace.
