白鶴峰 Baihefeng is a small hill in 惠州 Huizhou, Guangdong, where Su Shi built his exile home in 1096, only to be exiled further south to Hainan a month after he moved in. For Huizhou it was a pleasant place to have a home as it overlooks the East River, and being raised attracts a breeze. Today the top of the hill is the playground for a local middle school.
