This thousand arm, thousand eye Guanyin image, carved from one large tree trunk, stands in the center of the octagonal Luohan Hall in the 大相國寺 Daxiàngguósì in central Kaifeng City. This bodhisattva is actually four images facing in four different directions. Each figure has six large hands and more than 200 smaller hands.In the palm of each hand is an eye. Surely he-she is an all seeing all helping bodhisattva!
