Home of Confucious and site of his tomb and the tombs of thousands of his descendents. At strange cold place, nepotism in the extreme, with all these dead Kong clan members scattered around heavy stone stele and massive memorial buildings. That it was not destroyed during the so-called Cultural Revolution, when all things Confucian were vilified, is even more strange.
