Portland city is located in the Northwestern United States, near the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia rivers in the state of Oregon. It has an estimated population of 568,380,[5] and has been referred to as the greenest city in the United States. It is home to Reed College, the most prestigious small college in the western United States, and also home of Powell's Books, perhaps the largest bookstore in the States.
