The Lansuyuan, Classical Chinese Garden was constructed in 2,000 with the generous help of artisans and poets from Suzhou, China. The wonderful inscriptions and poetic couplets throughout the garden have been delightfully translated and annotated by Professor Charles Wu, professor emeritus of Reed College in Portland.
