Formerly this temple served as Emperor Tu Duc's residential palace. In 1991 it became a temple dedicated to his mother the dowager empress Tu Du. Hanging on the pillars and rafters are many painting with Emperor Tu Duc's poems (in Chinese) brushed in gold leaf.
