The Thai Vy Temple was built during Tran Dynasty, 1225 to 1400, when Vitenam was known as Dai Viet. It commemorates four generations of Tran Dynasty kings; Tran Thai Tong, Tran Thanh Tong, Tran Nhan Tong (the King-Monk who defeated the Mongol Yuan Dynasty twice!), and Tran Anh Tong.

Before it stand two stone horses. Inside the gate is a 2-story bell tower with a bell cast in 1689.
Inside the main temple are many stone pillars carved with parallel couplets and animals such as dragons, phoenix, unicorns, turtles and the images of cam, ky, thi, hoa (music, chess, poetry, painting) the four skills of a Vietnamese
intellectual. In the sanctum, are statues of the Tran Kings.

Each year, on the 14th day of the 3rd lunar month Thai Vy Temple Festival is celebrated. People come from all over Vietnam to commemorate the Tran Kings.
