The Baoshen Buddhist Temple houses a rare collection of 18 Buddhist clay statues from the Northern Song Dynasty, almost a thousand years ago. Made from clay by a Song Dynasty master sculptor, Yang Huizhi, the arhats are remarkably lifelike and vivid although much damaged since the original temple was destroyed and they were exposed to the weather.
