In the northwestern suburbs of Beijing, 20km from downtown. First built in the 7th century. The copper statue of a reclining Buddha was cast in 1734 of the Qing Dynasty. Emperor Qian Long had a statue of himself made and placed among the statues of the 18 Luohan (Arhats).
