位於敦煌市南4公里處，屬楊家橋鄉，在敦煌市至鳴沙山公路的左側。傳古時在月牙泉附近有雷音寺，後沙暴橫行，寺院為鳴沙山所埋，1989年，由國內外佛教團體和敦煌市佛教徒捐贈，天今日位置重健了雷音寺，1991年6月落成開光，并對游人開放。 The Leiyinsi lies 4 km from downtown Dunhuang on the road to Mingshashan. In the past there was a temple called Leiyinsi in the vicinity of Yueyaquan (at the foot of Mingshashan). At some point it was buried in sand during a sand storm. This Leiyinsi was built between 1989 and 1991 with donations from local and overseas donors.
