A Southern Song general. In 1275 his forces were crushed at 信州 Xinzhou by the Mongol invaders and his wife and children were taken prisoner. For the following ten years he existed in the Wuyi Mountains 武夷山 in western Fujian by fortune telling and teaching. In 1285 he was caught by the Mongols and sent to Beijing under guard. He refused to work for the Mongols and died of a hunger strike in Peking.
