Xu Wenhua (Ming) On the edge of the forest         now heard                 now still                         the distant temple bell; Clear dawn at Spirit Cliff         a cloud crossing the stream. Boundless and rich         my love of looking at mountains; I stand alone         wordless                 until the sun is set.
