A Mountain Pavilion on a Summer Day
Gao Pian 821-887

The shade from trees is dense and summer days are long
An upside-down pavilion is mirrored in the pond
Crystal curtains shimmer in the faintest wind
A trellis of roses fills the courtyard with perfume

Gāo Pián 821-887

Lǜ shù yīn nóng xiàrì cháng,
Lóu tái dàoyǐng rù chítáng.
Shuǐjīng lián dòng wēi fēng qǐ,
Mǎn jià qiángwēi yī yuàn xiāng.
