Seeing Off Revenue Officer Zheng

Su Shi 1036-1101 Waters encircle the Pengzu tower, Mountains surround Sporting Horses Terrace. On this ancient land of heroes Melancholy persists a thousand years later. He with the prominent nose has flown to Heaven, The double pupils have likewise turned to ashes. At White Gate did Lu Bu surrender, A great meteor felled Linhuai. One can still imagine Liu Deyu Setting out wine and tarrying here. Since then the land grew desolate, Abandoned gardens are covered with moss. The river echoes from Hundred Paces, The mountains circle back from Nine Miles, Mountains and river dash against each other, At night the sounds become wind and thunder. How vast are the fields beside the clear rvier Where I myself built Yellow Tower. Tonight the autumn moon sets behind the city wall, Spring breezes ripple the wine in the cup. While we wait for you as guest at our banquet, Your recent poems show forth their bright gems. The tower complete, now you must depart, So contrary are human affairs! In future years, tired of your travels,  With white hair you will sing "The Return." Climbing this tower, you will heave a long sigh and ask, "Where is the prefect now?"

Sòng Zhèng Hùcáo

Sū Shì 1036-1101 Shuǐ rào Péngzǔ Lóu, Shān wéi Xìmǎ Tái. Gǔlái háojié dì, Qiān zài yǒu yú āi. Lóngzhǔn fēi shàng tiān, Chóng tóng yì chéng huī. Báimén xià Lǚ Bù, Dà xīng yǔn Línhuái. Shàng xiǎng Liú Déyú, Zhì jiǔ cǐ páihuái. Ěrlái kǔ jìmò, Fèi yuán duō cāng tái. Hé cóng bǎi bù xiǎng, Shān dào jiǔ lǐ huí. Shān shuǐ zì xiāng jī, Yè shēng zhuǎn fēng léi. Dàngdàng qīng hé nuán, Huáng Lóu wǒ suǒ kāi. Qiū yuè duò chéng jiǎo, Chūn fēng yáo jiǔ bēi. Chí jūn wéi zuò kè, Xīn shī chū qióng guī. Lóu chéng jūn yǐ qù, Rén shì gù duō guāi. Tā nián jūn juàn yóu, Bái shǒu fù Guīlái. Dēng lóu yì cháng xiào, Shǐjūn ān zài zāi?
