Night In The Tower

Dù Fǔ 712-770  As the year fades,         yin and yang hasten dwindling light; At world's margin,                 frost and snow clearing the wintry night. Drums & reeds at the fifth watch:          music mournful and strong; Starry River in the Three Gorges:          reflections quiver & fight. Crying in the wilds:          how many homes hear tidings of combat? Songs of the savage:          in several sites arise fishers & woodmen. Sleeping Dragon and Leaping Stallion,          yellow dust in the end; All sound,          all letter of human events,                     vainly fallen silent.

Dù Fǔ 712-770 Suìmù yīnyánɡ cuī duǎn jǐnɡ, Tiānyá shuānɡxuě jì hán xiāo. Wǔɡēnɡ ɡǔjiǎo shēnɡ bēi zhuànɡ, Sānxiá xīnɡhé yǐnɡ dònɡ yáo. Yě kū jǐ jiā wén zhànfá, Yíɡē shù chù qǐ yúqiáo. Wòlónɡ yuè mǎ zhōnɡ huánɡtǔ, Rén shì yīn shū màn jìliáo.
