Kuimen, Kui Gate viewed from Baidicheng
From The Highest Tower Of White Lord Citadel
|
Dù Fǔ 712-770
The citadel spikes, the pathway skews,
trailing banners brood;
Alone
I stand on half-hid heights of this soaring tower.
The gorge cleaves:
as clouds rain black,
dragons & tigers howl;
The Jiang clears:
in sun's embrace,
snappers & gators rove.
The Helios Tree's western branches
facing a cloven rock;
Foundering River's eastern reflections
follow Endless Flow.
With goosefoot cane,
sighing the world--
who are you, fellow?
Tears of blood spatter the void--
turn back your white poll.
