Ancient Air #33
|
Li Bo 699-762
In the northern wilderness is a gigantic fish,
Its body's length...several thousand li.
With a lift of its head
it spouts three mountainsful of snow,
Then, reclining,
engulfs one hundred riversful of water.
Leaning against a wave
it follows the ocean's tide,
With glittering fins, it rises on the wind.
I watch it graze the heavens as it flies,
At 90,000 li, it still does not rest.

Xuǎn hè yīn fēnɡ qǐ.
Wú ɡuān mó tiān fēi,
