At The Xie Tiao Pavillion in Xuanzhou, Taking Leave

Li Bo 699-762 Plunge a knife in to break the water         the water flows but faster. Raise a cup to quell the pain         the pain grows but deeper. Man's life in this world         does not answer my wishes, Tomorrow morning         hair loosed in the wind                 I shall pilot my little skiff.

Lǐ Bái 699-762 Qì wǒ qù zhě, Zuórì zhī rì bù kě liú. Luàn wǒ xīn zhě, Jīnrì zhī rì duō fán yōu. Chánɡfēnɡ wàn lǐ sònɡ qiūyàn, Duì cǐ kě yǐ hān ɡāolóu. Pénɡlái wénzhānɡ jiànān ɡǔ, Zhōnɡ jiàn xiǎoxiè yòu qīnɡfā. Jù huái yì xìnɡ zhuànɡ sī fēi, Yù shànɡ qīnɡtiān lǎn mínɡyuè. Chōu dāo duàn shuǐ shuǐ ɡènɡ liú, Jǔ bēi xiāo chóu chóu ɡènɡ chóu. Rénshēnɡ zài shì bù chèn yì, Mínɡ zhāo sǎn fà nònɡ piānzhōu.
